The Government proposes to introduce new module of “Aamar Dukan” namely “AAMAR DUKAN ON WHEELS” in the same line of the existing ‘Aamar Dukan’. Under the new module 22 Non-PDS items (which may increase to 36) will be delivered to the doorstep of the consumer at below MRP with minimum profit margin. Eco-friendly E-rickshaws will be used as the transportation mode under the Scheme. Through this scheme Government plans to promote cashless transaction as the E-Rickshaws will have a GPS enabled smart phone, Bluetooth billing printer which will be connected to the smart phone.
The basic objective of the Scheme Aamar Dukan on Wheels is to control price of essential commodities by avoiding the middle man. Through this scheme the consumers will get their daily requirements of essential commodities at their door step at a reasonable price and shall also contrivute in removal of un-employment problem.
Rs. 100 Cr. has been included in the current budget to provide finance assistance to the beneficiaries @ Rs. 50,000/- against each “Aamar Dukan on Wheels”.
The pilot project was launched by the Navodaya Assam with 7 nos. of E-Carts in the City of Guwahati within the specified areas on 22nd February 2017 at Guwahati.
The guidelines of the Aamar Dukan on Wheels have already been prepared and it will be finalise once the draft agreement to be executed between the Director, FCS&CA, Assam and Naboday Assam is received from the Directorate.
We have already prepared the draft agreement to be executed between the selected beneficiary and the DC/ Pr. Secy./ SDO (C).
The Nabodaya Assam has already submitted the preliminary report on the pilot project and sought Government approval for the project. The Navodaya Assam in their report claimed that each cart is selling 5000/- per day.
